TONIGHT, 10/19 -- Liberation Health with Barbara Garcia

Liberation Health, the University of San Francisco's School of Nursing and Health Profession's inaugural event in celebration of the university's new Master of Public Health Program.

Following a reception, Barbara A. Garcia, M.P.A., San Francisco's Director of Health, will be the featured guest for a provocative talk on the state of public health in the Bay Area. She will speak about trends and challenges in urban healthcare, followed by Q and A with the audience. This exciting, interdisciplinary event marks the launch of the new Master of Public Health program, designed to prepare the next generation of global health managers, public health practitioners, and leaders in health promotion and education.

The event is from 5:00-7:00pm
